Meet Dr. Michelle Medina, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I am a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida. With over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field, I have spent a significant portion of my career focused on mental health. My background spans both outpatient and inpatient settings, correctional medicine, and college behavioral health, giving me a broad perspective on the diverse needs of individuals seeking mental health support.
As a queer Latina and the first in my family to graduate from college, I understand the challenges of navigating cultural barriers and the stigma often associated with mental health, especially in underserved and marginalized communities. My passion lies in helping those who may feel overlooked or underserved, and I am committed to providing compassionate care to those who need it most.
I am originally from South Florida and proudly come from a Colombian heritage. When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my growing family—I’m a first-time mother to a beautiful child and two playful cats. Outside of work, I love baking, powerlifting, pottery, and indulging in a good cup of coffee.
My mission is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where everyone feels valued and heard on their mental health journey. I am here to help you overcome challenges and work toward healing.
